How does it work?
To pay for food and drinks at the various stands, you need a Kookeet payment card. Simply get one free of charge at one of the manned cash desks at the festival and top up the credit with the amount of your choosing. We accept cash, debit cards and credit cards. At the food and beverage stands, your purchases are deducted from the credit on your card.
When can I top up the card?
From 20 August until 25 September, you can purchase a payment card from the Kookeet website. You will then receive a PDF with a QR code. Bring this PDF with you and show it at one of the fast-lane cash desks at Kookeet. The QR code will be scanned and your card will be topped up instantly. You can then use it right away. Extra advantage: the waiting times at the fast-lane (priority) cash desks are very short.
From 20 August until the end of the festival, you can get a payment card at In&Uit ('t Zand 34, Bruges / open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Sundays and public holidays until 2 p.m.). You will immediately receive your card, topped up with your chosen amount. We accept cash, debit cards and credit cards. Extra advantage: you already have your card in your pocket and can start enjoying Kookeet the minute you arrive.

Super convenient! Once you have a payment card, you can create an account on the Kookeet website and link the payment card to that account. This year, you can link several cards to one account. You can then top up the card whenever you want, using your smartphone.
· You can instantly top up your card with your smartphone, wherever you are.
· Your account allows you to keep track of the food and beverage stands you've already visited.
· You can check your remaining balance at any time.
· If you lose your card, we can block it immediately through your Personal Account and transfer the remaining credit to a new card.
4. At Kookeet
You can buy a Kookeet payment card at one of the manned cash desks at the festival (by the entrance and the main bar), or you can top up your card at one of the ATM machines (by the entrance). You can ask a staff member for assistance if needed.
Which payment methods can I use to top up the card?
Just to be clear: to pay for food and drinks at the various stands, you need a Kookeet payment card. No other means of payment are accepted. You can top up your Kookeet payment card with cash or by debit card (Bancontact/Maestro), VISA or Mastercard.
How do I check the remaining balance on my payment card?
You can check the balance at every food and beverage stand and at the manned cash desks. However, a more convenient way is to log into your Personal Account.
Can I use my smartphone to check and top up the credit on my card?
Absolutely. This is a very convenient and fast method. If you already have a Kookeet payment card, you can create an account on the Kookeet website and then link the payment card to that account. This year, you can link several cards to one account. You can then top up your card(s) using your smartphone whenever you like. Super convenient, cause you don't have to wait in line at one of the cash desks. Plus, your account allows you to keep track of the food and beverage stands you've already visited and to check your remaining balance.
Can I merge multiple cards?
Yes, the remaining balance on one card can be transferred to another card. Just go to one of the manned cash desks at the festival, where a staff member will be happy to arrange this for you right away.
I've lost my card, or it doesn't work anymore.
If you've lost your payment card, or it has stopped working, please go to the information desk where a staff member will be happy to help you.
I would like a refund of the remaining credit on my payment card.
Before and during Kookeet, this credit cannot be refunded. After the festival, refunds of any remaining credit will be possible from 1 October (10 a.m.) to 15 October 2019 (11:59 p.m.) via Kookeet's website (www.kookeet.be/refund). The funds will then be paid into your bank account. It may take 3 to 6 weeks before all information is processed and the amount is refunded.
Please keep in mind that no refunds will be possible after 15 October 2019!
